A Bill (HB.746) for an Act to amend the Federal Medical Centres Act and establish Federal Medical Centre Toro ,Bauchi State passed second reading at the House of Representatives.

The Member Representing Toro Federal Constituency Hon. Dabo Ismail Haruna has presented a Bill for an Act (Hb-746) to establish Federal Medical Centre Toro,Bauchi State to read for a second time.

Presenting the Bill on Thursday during the House of Representatives plenary,Hon. Dabo cited the importance of the federal Medical Centre Toro which includes the growing population.

He said the need to establish Federal Medical Centre Toro became necessary considering the increasing pressure at Toro General Hospital from the neighboring local Governments of Jos North,Jos East ,Part of Lere local government of Kaduna State and Doguwa of Kano State.

The law maker seeks the understanding and support of his fellow colleagues over this important Bill. If passed into law,the Federal Medical Centre will be beneficial to all Nigerians most importantly the good people of Toro Federal Constituency who traveled over 100km to access health care services in the state capital.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbs PhD refered the Bill to House Committee on health for consideration and other legislative actions.
