Group has described the continue detention of Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, President Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore as unconstitutional and illegal.The Fulani Youth Association of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani socio-cultural association that works towards promoting Peace and Unity of Nigeria through Government and stakeholders engagements.
In a statement signed by Muhammad Tasiu Suleiman,the convener of Fulani Youths Association of Nigeria (FUYAN) who doubles as the national Publicity Secretary of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore ,the arrest and detention of their President as illegal and unconstitutional.
According to him, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore is a non-profit and non-political organization which firmly and solemnly resolved to protect the interest of Fulani pastoralists, pursuing their interests and safeguarding their cultural heritage. It was duly registered with Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) and all relevant laws in Nigeria with the cardinal objectives of promoting the sociocultural interest, education, values of Fulani pastoralists, their economic interest and fundamental human rights among others.
He said, The organization came to existence after so many clarion calls from different angles by the Fulani pastoralists at the grassroots who are yearning for a fruitful leadership.The objectives includes preserving and promote Fulani sociocultural heritage, to have a body which unite all Fulani traditional rulers, their subjects and respect for constituted authorities including traditional institutions.
Liaising with other Associations of like nature and objectives towards moving Nigeria forward. Foster good neighboriness and socio-cooperation among our communities.Encourage and assist members towards self-actualization.Help in propagating the culture and tradition of the fulani particularly via the promotion of fulani language and customs.Contribute to the development of projects in fulani communities when and where necessary and to promotes social developments.
We have been catering for the social welfare of its members with a view to enhancing the status, respect and honour of the Fulani and we have been promoting peaceful rearing of cattle and peaceful coexistence by it’s members in every community in our dear country.
You will never find any member of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Sociocultural Association of Nigeria that involves in a charge and bail activities (you can make your findings). The word ‘Kautal Hore’ in Fulfude simply means unity and our cardinal objective is to bring Fulani patoralists together cut across all walks of life.
We have encouraging peaceful coexistence in rural communities, Engage in voluntary activities such as first aid, community security, and relief services to affected communities.We have made positive contributions to the advancement, progress and well-being of the community by mobilizing and assisting in communal development efforts.
This nomad Vigilante Group is not merely an initiative, it is a manifestation of our shared commitment to economic prosperity, job creation, inclusivity, and the relentless fight against banditry and cattle rustling. Just like Ebubeagu and Amotekun, Kautal Hore is dedicated to establishing a sense of security that transcends the mere absence of conflict.
He calls for more collaborations and understanding among authorities concerns and the Security agencies in the country to that Miyetti Allah is a non-violent Fulani group that has no record of criminality and violation of the Nigerian laws. It is on the above reasons that ,It become necessary to let our people knows that his detention is unconstitutional and illegal.
We are the first to be duly registered Fulani organization with all relevance laws and with the Corporate Affairs Commission.We call on President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to as a matter of urgency order the immediate release of Bello Bodejo.He concluded.
