Central of Nigeria, CBN, has called on relevant stakeholders to partner with the Apex bank to return the country to the part of greatness.

The Director, Corporate Communications Department of the Apex bank, Dr Isa Abdulmumin made the call during a one day seminar organised by the consumer protection department branch of CBN, in Gombe.

Speaking at the event, Dr Isa Abdulmumin said the objective of the seminar is to sensitive the public on the Apex bank’s modern payment systems for ease of business transactions.

Also speaking the manager consumer protection department CBN Gombe state branch, Mr Samuel Eleachi said the seminar titled ‘CBN FAIR promoting alternative payment channels as tools for financial inclusion is to sensitize Business Associations, Farmaers Associations and NYSC members amongst others, who are easy targets for fraudster on how to protect them, how to retrieve money when transfers fail and the use of tracking numbers to detect where money is when withdrawn.

While commenting on Naira Abuse, Hajia Maryam Yusuf from the Directorate of Currency Operations cautioned Nigerians on indiscriminate use of Naira as it serves as our National symbol.

She also advised people to use Wallets while stating the risk of holding large amount of money at home or on transit.

Hajia Maryam Yusuf added that printing fake money is punishable offence calling on people to desist from it.

Some participants, expressed gratitude to the CBN for making the seminar possible.
