CITAD Trains 30 youths on transforming Tech into business ideas

The center for information technology and development (CITAD),has commenced the training of 30 youths, on transforming tech ideas into business.

The executive director of the center, Engineer Yunusa Zakari Yau, made the disclosure, while speaking with Journalists in Kano.

He explained that, Communities produce talented youths, with ideas that if utilized, would help address societal problems.

The executive director pointed out that, the center assist those that have skills and ideas, but don’t know how to utilize them, to become prospective employers of labour.

Engineer Zakari, described idea as a major catalyst in setting up a business. Saying that,after the training, participants would be guided on how to attract grant,s to put their ideas into reality.

” Am urging participants to rededicate themselves to achieve the desired objectives and see themselves as potential job creators in the society”

In his remarks, CITADs technical officer, Muhammad Bello Yahaya,hinted that, the objective is to invite youths, and inform them how the world is currently moving forward in terms of technology.

He stressed that, the training focuses attention on four thematic areas, which are E -health,financial technology,Climate change and E-agriculture.

Muhammad highlighted that, in a world of advanced civilization, the existence of tech startups cannot be underestimated.

” As long as there are technology products or services available in the market, tech startups will continue to ex ist”

Some of the participants who spoke to Radio Nigeria, Rabi Yusuf Gwamna and Sulaiman Musa Yusuf described the training as apt.

They promised to make judicious use of the knowledge gained, to improve their lives,and commended CITAD for giving them the oppurtunity, to showcase their talents.
