The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja has assured the provision training and equipping of the troops towards the combatting the myriads of security threads in the Country.

The Chief of Army Staff stated this at an event Easter Luncheon organised by Headquarters Theatre Command Operation Hadin Kai Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri to dine with Injured Soldiers.

In line with his Command Philosophy to transform the Nigerian Army into a well trained, equiped and motivated force, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja reiterated to provide Nigerian Army with the necessary support to deal with all adversaries once and for all.

Represented by the Theatre Commander Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Waidi Shuaibu, the Chief of Army Staff urged the troops to reflect on the sacrifices of Jesus Christ for the salvation of Mankind.

He explained that this year’s Easter Celebration is unique as its coincidented with Ramadan fast, hence it allows Muslims and Christians alike to showcase the God abundances on our Nation and reminds the troops the duties of sacrifices.

Earlier in a welcome address, the acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector one Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General Abubakar Haruna extended their appreciation to the Nigerian Air Force and Navy for their support in the ongoing Counter Insurgency and Terrorism Operations as well Nigeria Police and hybrid forces towards the actualisation of normalcy and prosperity in the region.

The General Officer Commanding 7 Division described the wounded Personnel in action as heros and that their gallantry shall never be in vain.

The Chief of Army Staff in company of Commander Sector one Operation Hadin Kai and other Principal Staff Officers of Theatre and the Division served lunch to the injured Soldiers as part of the Easter Celebration.
