Representative of Director General FRCN, Zonal Director North East Babayo Askira and General Manager Peace FM Maiduguri during a condolence visit to the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Garbai Elkanemi over the death of Waziri of Borno Mustapha Yerima Mukhtar.

The Director General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria FRCN, Dr Mohammed Bulama has described the death of Waziri of Borno, Mustapha Yerima Mukhtar as a huge loss not only to Borno emirate council but the entire country. 

Dr. Bulama stated this while condoling the Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Umar Garbai Elkanemi at his palace in Maiduguri. 

The Director General who was represented by the Zonal Director North East, Babayo Askira, described the late Waziri as a patriotic Nigeria who has contributed a lot in the return of peace to the state.

He prayed Almighty Allah to admit the monarch into Aljannatul Firdaus and give the Shehu, government and people of Borno State as well as the deceased family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Responding, Shehu Abubakar Garbai Elkanemi thanked the Director General and management of Radio Nigeria for the visit.

The Director General on behalf of the Corporation then presented food items which include three fifty kilogram bags of rice, a bull and two jerry cans of cooking oil for the seventh day prayer.

Zonal Director North East was accompanied on the condolence visit by the General Manager Radio Nigeria Peace Fm Maiduguri, Hajiya Fatima Yusuf and management staff of the station.

Waziri Mustapha Muktar died in the early hours of Saturday after a protracted illness at the age of 50 years and left behind aged mother, four wives, 19 children, brothers and sisters.
