Embrace peace ,be Nation Builders – Governor Yusuf Charge Corps Members

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has charged 2024 Batch A stream Two Corp members posted to the state to embrace peace and work towards unity and nation building.

The Governor stated this during the swearing in ceremony of the 2024 Batch A stream Two of the corps members held at the permanent orientation camp, Kusalla, Karaye Local government area of Kano State.

The Governor who was represented by the commissioner of youths and Sport Alhaji Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said the National youths service scheme was targeted at ensuring unity among the youths of the nation irrespective of cultural or religious beliefs .

He said the State government would do everything possible in ensuring the security and welfare of the corps members during the service year.

The Governor urged them to respect the culture and norms of the people of Kano ,saying Kano is the most peaceful state across the Nation.

In her remark the NYSC Coordinator in Kano Hajiya Halima Abdulkareem has charged corp members to embrace the Culture of Nationalism and learning skills acquisition with the aim of becoming self Reliance.

She said the Orientation course is a fundamental aspect of the NYSC programme meant to prepare corps members for the one year national service.

Hajiya Halima Abdulkareem noted that during the three weeks orientation training the corps member will be drilled on skills acquisition training, Administration and other important aspect, geared towards preparing them to face the challenges ahead .

She maintained that as at the time of closing registration at the camp,1,068 corps members were registered.

The coordinator explained that the corps members has shown commitment and resilience,saying they would be trained on physical and para military training aimed at making them to become fit for the challenges ahead .

She maintained that at the end of the three weeks training the corps members would be posted to various ministries and parastatals, especially Education, agriculture, and health among others.

Hajiya Halima Abdulkareem urged the corps members to ensure adequate participation in all the camp activities, geared towards achieving the stated goals
