Gombe Police Launches Investigation into Gruesome Murder of Aishatu Abdullahi

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Operations Department Gombe State Command CP Hayatu Usman, on behave of the Gombe state Commissioner of Police, ordered the Assistant Commissioner of Police Criminal Investigation Department to personally investigate the murder of Aishatu Abdullahi, 58-year-old woman reportedly slaughtered by unknown persons on October 20, 2023.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Gombe State Command, Asp Mahid Muazu Abubakar, and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement perpetrators were said to have storme,d Mrs. Abdullahi’s residence at Jeka da Fari Quarters in Gombe at approximately 21:45hrs, before fleeing with her handset.

It explains that on receipt of the information, Police operatives moved to the scene where Mrs. Abdullahi was found in a pool of blood and was immediately rushed to the Specialist Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.

The Gombe State Police Command has expressed shock and dismay at the heinous crime and has pledged to do everything in its power to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The statement said Gombe state Police has launched a full-scaleStatestigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible for the brutal murder.

The Command extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Aishatu Abdullahi, assuring the public that the command will do everything possible to apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to justice.

The Gombe State Police urge anyone with information about an investigation to come forward.

The Command is urging residents to remain calm and vigilant and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the Police.

The Command is also encouraging members of the public to cooperate fully with the police as they carry out their investigation.
