Gombe police parades suspects over alleged involvement in various criminal activities in the State

The Gombe State Police Command has paraded suspected criminals arrested for alleged trespassing, criminal conspiracy, theft, and other criminal activities within the state.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar,
made this known while parading the suspects.

ASP Mahid Muazu Abubakar identified the suspects as, David Garba 23 years, of Lapan ward Shongom LGA, Isah Mamuda of Nassarawo ward Kaltungo LGA, Ahmed Mamuda 28years of Nassarawo ward Kaltungo LGA.

He said acting on a credible intelligence on 29th January, 2024, the suspects were intercepted in possession of a submersible pump suspected to have been stolen.

The Police spoke person, said further investigation revealed that the property in question belonged to the Federal Ministry of Environmental Forestry Research Institute Kaltungo branch which was removed some days ago alongside some pipes and electrical cables.

ASP Mahid noted that the Operatives of the command similarly arrested Nine suspects over alleged criminal conspiracy, house breaking, theft and causing grievous hurt.

The PPRO, identified Samaila Francis, 25 years, Salmanu Jibril, 20 years, Daniel Danladi, 20 years, Jessy Jackson, 18 years, EZikiel Kadiri, 17 years, and Abdurrahman Hassan, 18 years, all from Kaltungo Local Government area.

Others paraded include
Ali Rabiu, 22 years, from Billiri, Sirajo Abdullahi from Kumo and Sadik Hassan Dokoro.

He explained that On the 30th of January, 2024 at about 0545hrs one Salihu Usman and one Kadus Hasari reported at Kaltungo Division that on the same date at about 0300hrs the above mentioned suspects conspired with one Sani Yunusa aka 2.4 and Dahiru Audu aka attacker of Banganje ward now at-large, broke into the Stores of One Kadus Hasari and Salihu Usman respectively.”

He said the suspects carted away Ten Bags of Maize worth N500,000, one Mattres worth N70,000, Twelve empty Sacks valued at N3000, he added that they sold two bags of maize to one Ibrahim Usman of Kumo, Akko LGA, and one Ali Rabiu of Sansani Billiri LGA bought 6 bags of the maize. Exhibits recovered include, One long dagger, one heavy iron cutter used in breaking the stores and One Bajaj motorcycle for conveyance of the stolen items.”

ASP Mahid Muazu maintained that all cases will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
