Gov. Buni Assures Safety, Welfare of Corps Members in Yobe

The Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni has reiterated his administration’s commitment to afford top priority on the security and welfare of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, members in all parts of the state.

Governor Buni stated this at the Dazigau orientation camp in Nangere Local Government Area, during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2024 Batch A stream 1 corps members deployed to Yobe State.

Represented by the Chairman of the state NYSC Governing Board Alhaji Barma Shettima, Governor Mai Mala Buni, explained that he has directed all Security Agencies and Community Leaders to ensure that a conducive environment is created for all to thrive

The Governor further congratulated the newly inducted corps members for the successful completion of their academic studies, urging them to consider their deployment to Yobe as an opportunity to contribute to national development.

While declaring open, the 2024 batch A stream one orientation course for the One Thousand Four Hundred, (1,400), corps members deployed to the state, Governor Buni pointed out that the state government will continue to improve facilities, infrastructure upgrades, and reconstructions in the camp to encourage those contributing their quota to the peace and development of the state.

Addressing the Corps Members, the Yobe State Coordinator of the NYSC Mrs Hafsat Yerima urged them to participate in all the camp activities which are mandatory to drive more benefit from the scheme.

Mrs. Yerima also charged them to abide by the all rules and regulations of the NYSC, warning that acts of insubordination by disobeying the camp officials will not be condoned.

She, therefore, congratulated the corps members for the opportunity to attend the orientation course.

The NYSC state Coordinator further commended the Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni and the Corps employers for their continued support to the corps members in the state.
