Kano Govt. Allocates N400M to Aliko Dangote University

The Kano State Executive Council has approved the release of N400 million to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil for various projects including commencement of 24 new courses at the university.

In a statement by public relations officer, Kano state ministry of higher education Sanusi Abdullahi Kofar Na’isa said the development is in government’s effort to reinvigorate and revive State-owned tertiary institutions.

According to the statement other projects to be excuted with the funds includes refurbishment of infrastructures and upgrading and procurement of internet facilities for the betterment of both the staff and students of the institution.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner Ministry for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Kofarmata applauded the governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the gesture adding that this effort is in line with the fulfilment of campaign promises made by governor Yusuf.

Radio Nugeria recalled that the present administration had paid off all the lingering backlog utility bills, such as that of electricity, fuel among others.
