NAWOJ presents a commendation letter to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), has presented a commendation letter to Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The letter was presented during an iftar gathering with executives from 22 unions held at government house Kano.

Represented by the national secretary of of NAWOJ, Wasila Ladan, she explained that, the commendation was in line with the governor’s dedication to providing quality education, accountability, and execution of projects as well as policies and programs aimed at uplifting Kano to international standards.

She said the present administration’s focus on good governance initiatives sets a positive example for other states to follow, saying that the governor’s leadership style has promoted transparency, accountability, and participatory governance which is essential for building trust between the government and its citizens.

“I also want to applaud your efforts in promoting the inclusion of women in all state empowerment programs. By prioritizing gender equity and empowerment, you are not only fostering economic opportunities for women but also creating a more inclusive and equitable society”

“your unwavering commitment to these principles is instrumental in driving socio-economic development and fostering a more inclusive society in Kano State. Your visionary leadership and dedication to the welfare of all citizens are truly inspiring”

Receiving the letter, Kano state governor Abba Kabir Yusuf appreciated NAWOJ for finding him worthy and promised to provide all the necessary support to move the association forward.

He described the emergence of Wasilah Ladan as the national secretary of NAWOJ as apt saying that she has made Kano and Northern Nigeria proud.
