Supreme Court Judgement: Our Preventive Community Engagement Strategy Help Keeps Peace -CP

The Kano State Police Commissioner, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, says the prevention and proactive strategies adopted by the Command, has greatly helped them in keeping Kano, before, during and after the Supreme Court Judgement Peacefully.

Speaking in response to the outcomes of the Supreme Court Judgement that gives NNPP Abba Kabir Yusuf victory, the Police Commissioner, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, said the engagements with members of the Community and the constant preaches of peace, has done wonders in keeping Kano peaceful.

“To my surprise, Kano People’s have shown to us that they are wonderful People’s, and today the State is one of the peaceful State in Nigeria”.

He said the APC People’s who have lost have given the Police their words that there they have accepted the wills of Allah and that they would not be party to any unfortunate things that will truncates peace.

CP Gumel said despite all the outcomes of the judgment he has directed his Men and all other Police formation across the State to continue keeping vigil in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

“I have asked all the DPOs and other Police formation to keep watch on their areas of concentration to ensure that the State remain peaceful and arrest anybody planning violence or wild celebrations”.

But despite all the efforts, the Commissioner, explained that some faceless Persons tried to penetrate Kano in several buses, but stationed armed Personnel prevented them.

Muhammad Usaini Gumel, Commended other Sister Security Agencies for contributing in keeping Kano peaceful, adding that, “I wouldn’t have done it alone”.
