25km Itas to Gadau Road to be completed in May 2024 as Gov Bala Commends Contractors

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the ongoing construction of twenty five kilometers road linking the two major towns of Itas and Gadau in Itas-Gadau Local Government Area of the State.

The eight point five billion naira project which include construction of the most longest and expensive bridge in the state, drainages, culvers and bridges was inaugurated in April 2021 by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Inspecting the project when he paid a working visit, Governor Bala Mohammed said when completed it’s would enhance transportation and agricultural activities among the communities living in the area.

According to him the unscheduled inspection was out of his determination to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of all the projects awarded by his administration.

He therefore commended the contractors handling the project for working according to the project specification despite the rising cost of construction materials.

Conducting the Governor round the project, a Director of the contracting firm Engineer Ahmad Al-Sadeeq expressed confidence that the work would be completed between April to May this year.

He However promised to deliver the project according to the contractual agreement.
