All outstanding scholarships award to be cleared this month – Gov Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Government has assured the indigenous students that all pending scholarship award would be settle before the end of this month.

The State Governor Bala Mohammed made the commitment while addressing leadership and members of National Union of Bauchi State Students NUBASS who went to congratulate him over his victory at the Supreme Court.

Bala Mohammed who noted that he granted approval for the disbursement of the scholarship wonder why some of the students are yet to receive their entitlement.

Represented by Secretary to the State Government Barrister Ibrahim Kashim, Governor Bala Mohammed assured to direct relevant stakeholders including the commissioner of Education and the Treasury office to investigate the reason for the delay in the process with a view to address the pending issues.

While appreciating the students for the solidarity visit, the Governor also pledged more commitment to the welfare of the students.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the NUBASS National President Comrade Adam Muhammad Tukur who congratulated the Governor for the victory emphasized the need for the state government to consider the plight of the affected students.

According to him about thirty percent of the students studying within and outside the state are yet to receive the scholarship despite the Governor’s approval

He therefore assured the support of all the Indigenous students to Governor Bala Mohammed led administration.
