Efforts to distribute FG’s palliative ongoing in Gombe

Gombe state government says arrangements for the distribution of the State’s share of the Federal government’s Palliative is ongoing.

Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, made this known while receiving the State Palliative Distribution Steering Committee’s report, at the Government House, Gombe.

Receiving the report on behalf of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the SSG used the occasion to announce as pledged by Governor, informing the committee members that their services may be required.

Professor Njodi, commended the committee for doing a clean job, acknowledging their commitment, resilience, sacrifices, and diligence in the discharge of its mandate.

He however noted that like any human endeavour, challenges might have been encountered during the distribution exercise stressing that most complaints about the exercise emanated from opposition politicians for their selfish reasons.

Presenting the report, Chairman of the Committee and Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, appreciated Governor Inuwa Yahaya for according them the opportunity to serve the State in that capacity.

The Committee Chairman also lauded the SSG for providing them with needed leadership and direction leading to the successful completion of the state government Palliative distribution exercise.

Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi, advised Gombe state government to carefully study their recommendations on the challenges encountered for implementation in similar situations in the future.
