GSHA charges Contractors on standards

In continuation of its oversight function, the Gombe State House of Assembly Committee on Works has visited some ongoing projects in the state.
The house chairman committee on works, Usman Maijama’a Kalamu charged the contractors to maintain standards and adhere to the contract’s deeds.
While speaking at one of the sites visited by the Commissioner Ministry of Works, Engr Idris Abdullahi said, Gombe state government will not compromise, as it is doing its best to execute projects that future generations will benefit from.
Idris Abdullahi therefore urged the contractors to bring the results of the required tests on the ongoing roads and bridge constructions for confirmation.
A resident of Hayin-Kwarin-Misau, Kabir Mohammed Fuma, thanked Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for answering their call regarding the Bridge construction and gully erosion control in the area.
The sites visited by the committee were the Gombe- Potiskum Federal Highway and that of Jarkwami to Daniya handled by builders contractors, Titin- Tsagayaru Bridge by EEC Contracts, Kwarin – Misau by Triacta and some Township roads which included Government House to Gabukka – Pantami 18.4km Road.
