Gov. Buni Charges New Perm Sec’s On Diligence to Promote Good Governance

Yobe state Govenor Mai Mala Buni charged the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries on diligence, loyalty and sacrifice, to promote good governance and service delivery in the state.

Governor Mai Mala Buni made the call at swearing in of nine newly appointed Permanent Secretaries held at tge Government House, Damaturu.

While congratulating the appointees Governor Mai Mala Buni explained that their appointment is purely based on merit, competence and capacity.

“You are therefore expected to add value from your wealth of experience to the Civil Service for government to achieve its set goals, and to efficiently and effectively deliver the required services to our people”

He however charged the Office of the Head of Service and the Permanent Secretaries to ensure strict Adherence to assigned responsibilities for workers to justify their employment and the resources expended as wages on them

“This will give our workers a sense of belonging and involvement, and check cases of idleness and absenteeism to promote vibrancy and productivity”.

Governor Buni also enjoin all the Permanent Secretaries to be good team players and to work harmoniously with their Commissioners, directors and other staff in their respective ministries and departments to collectively achieve the government set targets with maximum results.
