Jigawa state government has signed a Memorandum of understanding with Industrial Training Fund ITF for youth training and development in the state.

Speaking at the occasion at Government House Dutse, the state Governor Malam Umar Namadi has raised alarm over urgent need for governments and stakeholders at all levels to join hands in addressing Youth unemployment through skills training and empowerment otherwise the country is sitting on a time bomb.

He said, the number of teaming youth in the country without work to do is a source of concern to any responsible leader and good person in the nation.

Governor Umar Namadi noted that, the security challenges, disturbances and other social vices are product of poverty and unemployment.

He maintained that, with emphasis to skill training and empowerment the narration can be change to good.

” As part of may 12 point agenda which included youth training and development I found ITF as a reliable and worthy partners”

According to him, ITF has all the expatriates, skills and reputation to source and train youth on any skills jobs around the globe.

Umar Namadi said, optimistic the MoU signed will facilitate the achievement of their desire goals.

Earlier in his speech, the Director General Industrial Training Fund Mr Joseph Ari said, the Nigerian population is a comparative advantage to the nation if properly trained and equipped with the skill, but any thing short of that it will not be well to the future of the nation.

He assured the state government that, ITF is ever ready to provide its best in training Jigawa use with all skills of their choice , and also supported them in becoming productive and self reliant.
