Gov. Fintiri Salutes Gov’t House Press Crew for their contributions in stabilizing democracy in the state.

Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed appreciation to journalists and media practitioners in the state for their enormous contributions in the defense of democracy.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made this known during a special event tagged “victory party” organized to celebrate journalists, specifically the government house press crew who have been with the executive governor of the state throughout his first tenure and still counting.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who was represented at the event by the Chief of Staff, government house, Dr. Edgar Emos Sunday said the contributions of journalists in the defence of democracy in the state, especially the government house press crew cannot be over emphasized hence the need for the victory party so as to recognize and commend their efforts in ensuring democratic stability in the state.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Said his administration regarded journalists and media practitioners in the state in a very high esteem .
According to the governor, the event is also to celebrate democracy and the people of Adamawa state who stood firm and expressed their interest of choosing his administration to run the affairs of the state by freely voting for him for the development of the state.
He thanked the organizers of the event and assured his administration’s commitment to the development of Adamawa state.
In their separate good will messages, the commissioner for local governments affairs, Yayaji Abdullahi , commissioner for education Dr Umar Garba pella, commissioner for information and strategy, Neido Geoffrey Kufulto, permanent secretary ministry of information and strategy Mr Solomon kumangar and the special adviser on information and strategy , Dr John Ngamsa appreciated the government house press crew who have been with the state governor through thick and thin during the first tenure as well as campaign period, without whom a lot could not be achieved.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chief convener of the event who doubled as the Chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou Said the essence of the gathering is to appreciate the government house crew and to freely interact, rub minds and wine and dine with them.
Mr Humwashi Wonosikou added that the state government and the entire people of Adamawa state have indeed commended and appreciated press crew in their relentless efforts to inform the people about the policies of the Fintiri led administration and how those policies can change their lives.
During the special event, members of the government crew freely interact with each other as well as with their bosses, while they ate and drank.
