Kano Govt. Reassures Commitment towards supporting Sustainable Digital Transformation

The Kano State Government has reassured its commitment In according all the necessary support to sustainable and inclusive digital transformation project with the aim of moving the state forward.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf disclosed this while Receiving the development partners who paid him a courtesy call in his office.
Represent by the Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Abdulsalam said Following the plans by the Kano state government to go digital, it has received strategy and action plan prepared by the Blue Sapphire Hub on sustainable and inclusive digital transformation.
He said digital transformation is very crucial to economic growth, social equity and individual empowerment , hence his administration would not relent in according all the needed support to Achieve maximum Success.
“We wholeheartedly embrace the action plans and strategy document created through this collaboration.
The Deputy Governor noted that the ministry of science, technology and innovation will serve as the podium and implementation field.
In her speech on behalf of the development partners one of the coordinators, Maryam Lawal presented their action plans to the state government.
“With all the presentations and calls to action, we call on the Kano state government to review the name of the Ministry of Science Technology and innovation to Ministry of Science, Technology and Digital Economy so that we can start driving towards the digital economy.
“The second call to action is for the Kano state government to let the state have digital economic policy.
“Our presentation is quiet extensive and I want to crave the indulgence of His Excellency to present the documents” she stated.
