KNSG reaffirms commitment in strengthening relationship with media organizations

The Kano State government has reiterated it’s commitment, to strengthen the existing cordial relationship with media organizations in the state.

The state Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye made the indication during an interactive session, with Kano State heads of media Organizations Forum in his office.

According to him, the idea behind the meeting, was to pave way for more interactions, that would strengthen the relationship, between media and the government.

The commissioner, described media as a critical stakeholder in achieving good governance, urging them to focus on positive things, for the development of the people.

Dantiye promised to involve all media organizations in capacity building workshops, considering their roles in creating job opportunities, for the teeming youths, there by reducing unemployment.

He assured them that, the interaction would be a continuous one, to build a stronger line of communication, with media Organizations.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Kano State Heads of Media Organizations Forum, Prince Daniel Aboki, urged the state, to work with all media organizations, for wider publicity of government policies and programmes.

He solicited for governments support by sponsoring their members, to attend world summits and and world journalists conference s, as well as assisting them to access grants from international foundations.

Aboki commended the Commissioner for convening the meeting, and promised to remain committed to the progress of the state, through factual and objective report age, of events and government’s programmes.
