NDE train youths on Sustainable Agricultural development scheme

The federal government has reaffirmed it’s determination For training the youths on Sustainable Agricultural development scheme,with the aim of boosting food production in the country.

The Director General of the National Directorate of Empowerment (NDE) Malam Nuhu Fikpo disclosed this during the Flagg Off Ceremony of 2024 sustainable Agricultural development scheme held in Kano.

The Director General represented by the State Coordinator of NDE in Kano Malam Danjuma Shehu said the training of the youths on Sustainable Agricultural development scheme was in line with the Tinubu renewed hope Agenda.

He said the major strategy of the scheme was to train youths on modern agriculture especially production,storage ,post harvest ,reservation ,and all other components of Agricultural value chain ,stressing that this will creat more job opportunities and uplift the economy of the country.

“The aim of the training is to train unemployed youths so that they become employed and self reliant “

Malam Danjuma Shehu said in Kano NDE is training 50 youths on Sustainable Agricultural development scheme .

“At the end of the training,the participants would be empowered with one hundred thousand Naira each as a starter pack.”

In his remark the Director Rural Employment Promotion Department Mr Beatrice Oruoyehu said the scheme was aimed at reforming the Nations Economy to deliver sustained inclusive growth and boost Agriculture to Achieve Food Security.

Jamilu Mohammad Yahaya and Bahijja Haruna Suleiman were among the participants of the training , they applauded federal government efforts of initiating the scheme and providing them with funds to start the trait .

The ceremony was attended by officials officials of NDE Kano office and participants .
