NSCDC P.O.P: Adamawa state gov’t pledges continuous support to security agencies in the state

Adamawa State government says it will continue to support all security agencies in the state.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this during the passing out parade of 73 officers of 2023 recruits of the Nigeria Security and Civil defense corps which took place at the parade ground federal secretariat complex, Yola the Adamawa state capital.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri noted that over the years the Nigeria security and civil defense corps has widely been acclaimed for the dedication , integrity and professionalism of its officers and men in the discharge of their onerous responsibilities within the country, especially in Adamawa State.

The governor congratulated the new graduates for being selected and for the training and skills they acquired, stressing that they are coming on board at the time that their services are critically needed due to prevailing socioeconomic challenges that often predispose to crime and criminalities , urging them to bring their professionalism to bare, show courage and integrity in line with the motto of the NSCDC and eschew corruption in all ramifications.

According to the governor, he is impressed with the conduct of the NSCDC as it has significantly contributed to the relative peace and security that the state is enjoying, as the graduation of the 73 officers will hopefully strengthen the Corp not only in numbers but in quality of ideas and strategies for more rubost crimes prevention and control as well as peace building and other security measures.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated that in weeks and months to come people will be grappled with the present economic pressure associated with the scarcity and high cost of food items and in line with his administration’s eight points agenda, government shall continue to roll out Palliative and other measures to not only cushion the effects of inflation and other predicaments, but to also strengthen the ability of the people to frontally tackle them.

The governor said government will strengthen the capacity of the people by engaging them both dry and wet season farming in order to boost food production and that requires providing security for the farmers, hence the need for the support, cooperation and commitment of the civil defence in that regards.

Speaking on the passing out parade, the Adamawa state commandant of Nigeria security and civil defense corps Adamawa command, Ibrahim Mainasara commended the high level of performances of the graduates.

Ibrahim Mainasara said looking at the task ahead, the command will deploy the officers to different local government areas of the state considering the fact that the state is located on the borderline of the country.

The state commandant said plans are on the way to recruit more officers in order to have the required man power for effectiveness of carrying out their duties.

While shedding more light on the effectiveness of the security architecture of the country, the commandant called on the officers to put in their best while discharging their duties.

During the passing out ceremony, heads of security agencies as well as stakeholders and parents of the graduating officers were also present.

High points of the event was match pass by the graduating officers as well as exchange of pleasantries from families, friends and well wishes who graced the occasion.
