The Theatre Commander Joint Taskforce Operation Hadin Kai Major General Gold Chibuisi says the Theatre will continue to engage in non-kinetic operations to enhance civil-military cooperation. 

Major General Chibuisi stated this at the grand finale of the maiden inter secondary school quiz competition for public schools in the North East. 

Represented by the Deputy Theatre Commander Major General Olatokunbo Bello, the Theatre Commander said the competition is organised to encourage children take academic activities seriously and be productive members of the society.

According to him, Operation Hadin Kai has been in the forefront not just in kinetic operation but in soft power community oriented projects such as provision of portable water, renovation of schools, primary healthcare centres as escorts to farmers and travellers. 

“It is a common knowledge that the North East is emerging from challenges of the Boko Haram insurgency that has lasted over a decade. One of the underlying propaganda issues upon which the insurgency thrived was to label Western education as forbidden ” Chibuisi said.

Major General Gold Chibuisi acknowledged the Chief of Defence Staff donation of educational materials to some schools in the region, appreciating the support of Service Chiefs and governments of the three states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. 

Winners from the three states participated in the grand finale of the competition.

At the end of the exercise, Fika Government Secondary School, Yobe state emerged winner defeating Yerwa Government Girls secondary school, Maiduguri who came second while Government secondary school Garkida, Gombi Adamawa State clinched the third position. 

The Theatre Command presented cash assistance of 500,000 naira, gold medal and books worth 300,000 to the first position, the runners up got 250,000 cash, silver medal and books worth 200,000 and the third position recieved price package of 150,000 naira and other assorted gifts.
