The ECWA GOOD NEWS CHURCH Upper Luggere, Jimeta in Adamawa state has called on federal and state governments to wake up to its responsibility by protecting it’s citizens as people worship in fear and apprehension in both the divides.

The church equally urged the government at all levels to stem up measures for food security as there is impending hunger and starvation this year as a result of flooding, occasioned by insecurity that hindered farmers cultivate their farms during last year 2023.

The Resident Pastor of the church, Reverend Markus Kuri,made the call Sunday in his new year message to the Congregation.

The Man of God who cautioned the Church members against selling their farm produce also asked Government and proprietors of private schools to review downwardly, the high in school and tuition fees in all the academic institutions to enable parents pay their children school fees.

Reverend Markus Kuri while appraising the year 2023 as a Church said,many have lost their jobs,lives, businesses, admissions, Properties and prayed God to replenish the losses in large scales.

He commended security agencies and law enforcement agents for the supreme sacrifices they are making to protecting lives and property.

The clergy who took his theme of his new year message from the Holy book of Habakuk 2:3 implored faithful to be prayerful for God to accept their supplications, adding that as part of expansion of the ECWA GOOD NEWS CHURCH,it is going to establish a Prayer house church in Federal Housing and Kofare Chapel to win more souls in the vineyard of God.

During the church service, prayers were offered for a bountiful year 2024 as well as peaceful coexistence of the Nation.
