Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State has called on Nigerian troops to redouble effort in the fight against insurgency as well other crime activities bedeviling the nation.
He made the call in an interview with newsmen shortly after wreath laying ceremony to mark this year’s Armed forces remembrance day held at IBB square Bauchi.
Represented by his Deputy Muhammad Auwal Jatau the Governor appreciated the effort of both serving and retired service men for ensuring the unity of the country remain intact.
The Governor explained that his administration would continue to give necessary support to security outfits for the maintenance of peace across the state.
A special prayer has been observed for the fallen heroes who lost their lives in the battlefield.
Meanwhile the three three Atilery Brigade of Nigerian Army has conducted free medical outreach to people with various ailments as part of 2024 Armed forces remembrance day.
