The Nigeria Society of broadcasters Borno state chapter has embarked on membership drive and advocacy visits to some media houses in the state.
The SNB team led by its chairman the zonal director of NTA mallam Abubakar mohammed was at peace FM Radio station where he intimated staff on the benefits of belonging to the society.
He said SNB is here to protect the interests of all broadcast workers including retirees in areas of training, networking, ethical consideration and welfare of its members.
The chairman expressed optimism that the Borno has the potential of producing the largest numbership in the region and urged all to join the society.
Responding on behalf of the management of peace fm, the Head of news Hauwa Bata who is also the treasurer of SNB Borno promised to spread the message to other staff and assured them of 100 percent membership from peace fm.
She commended the chairman and his team for taking time out of their tight ramadan schedule to embark on the visit to media houses and wished them success in their endeavors.
The chairman who was accompanied by the VC prof. Nasir Abba Aji and publicity secretary Boyi Gagaya were also at Alansar radio and tv station and Radio ndarason international.
