The founder and convener of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying the policies are gaining increasing support nationwide.
Ekpemupolo stated this while speaking with journalists at the Kano State Government House, where he expressed confidence in the President’s economic policies and ongoing infrastructure projects.
According to him, President Tinubu has demonstrated the political will and boldness required to implement economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and changes to the foreign exchange system.
He said the reforms, alongside the administration’s infrastructure development initiatives, had continued to attract support from political leaders, including several state governors.
Ekpemupolo also highlighted major infrastructure projects in Northern Nigeria, including the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline, the proposed railway development and the ongoing rehabilitation of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
He described the projects as significant interventions that could contribute to economic growth, improve transportation and expand development opportunities in the region.
The political mobilisation movement also pointed to the defection of several state governors to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as an indication of growing political support for President Tinubu’s administration.
Ekpemupolo said the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement was intensifying efforts to expand its presence across the country ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He disclosed that the organisation planned to establish state chapters across Northern and Southern Nigeria to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation activities.
According to him, the movement would also appoint coordinators at the ward and polling-unit levels to engage households and mobilise support for the President.
He said the organisation was determined to reach every household as part of its nationwide campaign strategy.
Ekpemupolo expressed confidence in the movement’s mobilisation efforts, projecting that President Tinubu could secure at least 70 per cent of the votes in every state during the 2027 presidential election.
He maintained that the movement would continue to expand its grassroots structures and engage Nigerians in support of the President’s re-election bid.
