Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed Malam Umar Mohammed Shira as the new Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC).
The decision, demonstrates the Governor’s confidence in Shira’s leadership capabilities and extensive experience in the media and communications industry.
According to a statement signed by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Malam Umar Shira is a seasoned professional with a strong background in media management and broadcasting.
It says Malam Shira’s appointment is with immediate effect and expected to drive efficiency, professionalism, and enhanced public service delivery at BRC.
The statement expresses Governor Bala Mohammed optimism that Malam Shira’s expertise will improve the corporation’s role as a credible platform for information, education, and entertainment in Bauchi State and beyond.
It therefore urges BRC staff and stakeholders to support the new Managing Director in achieving his mandate of improving the station’s operations.
