Nigeria Customs Unveils Indigenous Data Window System, B-Bodogwu

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has introduced an indigenous registration portal, B-Bodogwu, aimed at creating a single data system for shippers, terminal agents, and traders.

The new system is designed to ensure reliability, transparency, and compliance in trade facilitation.

Speaking during a stakeholders sensitization workshop organized by Kano/Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Customs,Controller Dalhat Abubakar, explained that the B-Bodogwu system is safer, faster, and indigenous-owned.

He emphasized that the NCS has demonstrated competence and dedication in transitioning from service providers to the new system.

The Controller noted that the key Features and Benefits of the B-Bodogwu system includes Faster processing and reduced downtime ,Enhanced reliability and transparency ,Improved compliance and reduced lack of compliance, Single national entry window with a single data movement and Encourages trade facilitation and transparency.

Abubakar warned that terminal operators not linked to the B-Bodogwu system will not be able to operate in the country.

He emphasized the importance of onboarding licenses on the system, stating that failure to do so will result in agents being unable to access the system.

“The NCS has commenced training for terminal operators, shippers, traders, and licensed agents to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. “

“Over 16,000 declarations have been made on the B-Bodogwu system since its introduction in January 2025.”

He added that the B-Bodogwu system is a significant step towards achieving a single national entry window and promoting transparency in trade facilitation.
