Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting national defense capabilities by strengthening its partnership with the Nigerian Navy.
The collaboration aims to enhance specialized training programs and security initiatives.
The agreement was solidified during a courtesy visit led by the commandant of the Nigerian Navy Logistics College, Dawakin Tofa Rear Admiral Emmanuel C. Anakwe.
Speaking during the meeting, the vice chancellor Prof Sagir Adamu Abbas emphasized BUK’s history of cooperation with security agencies in Kano and outlined plans to design short courses for naval personnel.
“We are committed to enhancing the capacity of the Nigerian Navy through targeted training programs,”
Prof. Abbas emphasized BUK’s commitment to supporting defense education and technical expertise.
He said, the partnership will include tailored short courses for naval personnel, and BUK will provide logistical support, including access to a computer laboratory for integrated logistics management training.
Rear Admiral Anakwe commended BUK’s contributions, calling for sustained collaboration, particularly in intelligence sharing.
