The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has secured 1,000 bed spaces in Tent A at Muna for Nigerian pilgrims while awaiting further allocation from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, revealed this during a meeting with private tour operators at the Nigeria Hajj Affairs Office in Makkah.

He urged them to express interest in the available spaces and collaborate with the commission to ensure smooth operations for the 2025 Hajj.

The Commissioner for Operations, Inspectorate, Compliance, and Licensing, Prince Anofiu Elegusi, described the meeting as timely and stressed the importance of tour operators in safeguarding the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.

During the meeting, operators raised concerns about accessing service providers for Tent A and difficulties with the e-track payment system.

NAHCON assured them of prompt intervention and promised to arrange a meeting with service providers.

Radio Nigeria reports that at the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday.
