The Emir of Fika and Chairman Yobe State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alh. Dr. Muhammad Abali Ibn Mohammed Idriss, has called on Muslims in Yobe State to pray for peace and unity in the state and Nigeria as a whole.
In his Eid el-Fitr message in Potiskum, the Emir also urged Islamic scholars (Ulamas) to preach peace and unity.
He further advised parents to monitor their children’s behavior and associations to combat drug abuse and other social vices among young people.
The Emir concluded by praying for peaceful celebrations across the state and country.
