The remains of renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Sheikh Idris Abdul’aziz Dutsen Tanshi have been laid to rest in Bauchi.
Dr. Abdul’aziz passed away on Thursday in Bauchi after a prolonged illness.
His funeral, held at the Games Village where he was leading Eid prayers.
Our Correspondent Isiyaka Ismail Wunti reports that the prayer was attended by thousands of mourners, including scholars, sympathizers and community leaders.
Widely respected for his sermons on the oneness of Allah, Sheikh Idris Abdul’aziz was a prominent voice in Islamic teachings, emphasizing the core principles of faith.
Aged sixty eight, the deceased is survived by his mother, three wives, and thirty eight children.
