127 Yobe State Law Students attending the Nigeria law school for the 2025 academic session have benefited from the 60.325 million naira State Government Scholarship award.
At the event held in Damaturu, Governor Mai Mala Buni said his administration has approved the sponsorship of all the 127 graduates who applied for the programme.
He explained that each of the beneficiaries is awarded a tuition fee of N475,000 and a laptop computer to facilitate their studies.
While congratulating the beneficiaries on their graduation from the universities, and admission into the Nigeria law school, Governor Buni emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting educational development in the state.
Earlier, in his welcome address, The Executive Secretary of the State Scholarship Board, Dr Abubakar Kagu, noted that between 2019 and 2024, 576 law students have benefited from the scholarship programme.
He added that the scholarship is part of the state government’s efforts to promote human capital development and support students in pursuing their professional certificates at the Nigerian Law School.
The National President of Yobe State Law Students, Yahaya Mohammed, has expressed appreciation on behalf of the beneficiaries, saying the support will facilitate their studies.
He further assured dedication to their education.
