Police Apprehends Armed Robbers, Thugs, recover Tramadol worths N150m in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has recorded significant achievements in crime prevention, management, and control since the assumption of duty by Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori.

During a press briefing at the Kano Police Headquarters Bompai, CP Bakori highlighted the Command’s efforts to address security challenges, including thuggery, drug abuse, armed robbery, and violent crimes.

He said the police have arrested 157 suspects involved in various crimes, including armed robbery, thuggery, theft, and illicit drug dealings.

CP Bakori Explained that Among the recovered weapons includes 2 English pistols, 19 fabricated revolver rifles, 1 fabricated pistol

Ammunition Recovered includes 117 live cartridges, 6 expended cartridges, 11 live ammunition.

He maintained that 2 motor vehicles, 2 tricycles, 3 motorcycles were also recovered by the officers and Men of the Command .

The Commission of Police further explained that illicit Drugs were also apprehended among which includes Consignments of tramadol tablets worth N150 million, 6 cartons of Ampicillin Tablets, 22 bottles of suck & die, 69 sachets, and 260 pieces of exol tablets

CP Bakori added that the Command plans to conduct series of community-based engagements and intelligence-led operations to prevent crimes and maintain law and order.

CP Bakori appreciates the support of law-abiding citizens and encourages everyone to cooperate with the police, providing valuable information to surmount emerging security threats and maintain peace in the state.
