Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni says the his administration will continue to give priority to security and welfare of corp members posted to the state.

Governor Mai Mala Buni stated this the at the swearing in ceremony of the 2023 Bach B stream II Corp members held at the NYSC Permanent  Orientation camp, Dazigau in Nangere local government area of Yobe state.

The Yobe state Governor represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Wealth creation, Economic Empowerment and Employment Generation Abdullahi Bego explained that already security agencies and community leaders have been directed to ensure that conducive environment was created for the corp members to thrive.

He charged the Corp members to imbibe the ground rules of the NYSC to fortify themselves for greater challenges ahead as government would continue to upgrade facilities and infrastructure at the NYSC orientation camp.

Earlier, the Yobe state coordinator of the NYSC Hajiya Hafsat Yarima explained that the three weeks  orientation  exercise consist of a comprehensive programme that include military Drills, Man ‘O’ war, leadership training, language skills and entrepreneurship lectures among others. According to her Corps Members would be exposed to programmes and activities that will give them a better understanding of the objectives of the NYSC Scheme as well as the Environment, Language and the Culture of their host community.

She commended Yobe state government for its support to the NYSC Scheme.

Some of the corp members Nana Hauwa’u Umar from Kogi state, Anih Mercy from Enugu state and Usman Hussain from Katsina state expressed their satisfaction with security arrangements and facilities at the orientation camp.

The oath taking for the one thousand two hundred corp members was administered by Justice Adamu Muhammed Jajere behalf of the Yobe state Chief Judge.
