The Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA) has been named the Best Health Insurance and Managed Care Government Agency in Enrollee Records Management for the year 2025.
The award was conferred on the agency by the Institute for Health Insurance and Managed Care of Nigeria during its inaugural Health Insurance and Managed Care Awards presentation ceremony, aimed at recognising excellence and best practices in the sector.
BASHCMA received the award for its outstanding performance in maintaining accurate, accessible, and secure enrollee records, which have significantly enhanced healthcare delivery and access across Bauchi State.
The recognition is also seen as a reflection of the agency’s commitment to accountability and efficiency in the management of health insurance schemes.
The Executive Secretary of BASHCMA, Alhaji Ibrahim Inuwa Duguri, received the award on behalf of the agency, accompanied by the Director of Administration and Human Resource, Bello Mohammed Bello, and the Director of ICT, Abduljalalu Shehu.
The event brought together key players in the health insurance and managed care sector from across the country.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary appreciated the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for its unwavering support, which he said was instrumental in achieving the milestone.
He assured that the agency would continue to uphold high standards in service delivery to ensure improved healthcare access for the people of the state.
