The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, says it has successfully airlifted 14,165 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia within just five days.

In a statement issued by the Assistant Director, Information and Publication NAHCON Fatima Sanda Usara disclosed that 35 flights have been completed so far, representing 34.4 percent of the total expected pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj.

The statement says that states like Oyo, Abia, Kogi, and Nasarawa have completed their airlifts, while Ondo and Ekiti are preparing for their final joint flight.

The Commission noted that no flight cancellations have occurred and praised the cooperation of State Pilgrims’ Boards and the performance of the four engaged airlines.

NAHCON also warned the public against fake Hajj visa claims, urging anyone with credible information on illegal sales of slots to report to the Commission immediately.
