Yobe: PDP Congress Re-elects Amb. El-Gash as Chairman for 2nd Term

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe has re-elected Ambassador Umar El-Gash as the State Executive Council Chairman to run its affairs for a second term.

Announcing the results of the election at the party’s congress held in Damaturu, the state capital, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mohammed Umar, said Ambassador Umar El-Gash scored the highest number of votes and was returned as the winner of the election.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman-elect, Umar El-Gash, thanked the party delegates for giving him the mandate to serve as Party Chairman for a second term.

He assured his commitment to repositioning the party as the beacon of hope for the good people of Yobe.

El-Gash further described the PDP in the state as an alternative that Yobe deserves.

The party Chairman further explained that the PDP is fully ready to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at the state and national levels in the 2027 elections.
