FG Reaffirms Commitments to Youth Skills Acquisition.

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to training youth on various skills acquisition across the country.

This was stated by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, during a familiarization visit to participants of the “Skill to Wealth” training program for the North Western Zone, held in Kano.

Dr. Kofarmata emphasized that the purpose of the training is to complement the renewed hope commitment of the present administration to empower youth.

The training program aims to equip young people with skills that will enable them to become self-reliant and contribute to the country’s economic growth.

The State Coordinator of the program, Dr. Mahdi Isa, disclosed that 189 participants from the North Western Zone states are undergoing training in Agriculture, Auto Mechanic, and Renewable Energy.

He said Upon completion of the training, participants will be provided with starter packs to enable them to start their own businesses.

The training program is designed to address the issue of unemployment and poverty among youth in the country.

Isa added that by acquiring skills in various areas, participants will be empowered to become entrepreneurs and contribute to the country’s economic development.
