The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman has inaugurated the National Media Team for the 2025 Hajj Operations.
Inaugurating the team at the Commission’s Conference hall, Hajj House Abuja, the Chairman emphasised the importance of adhering to professional ethics by ensuring fairness, accuracy and objectivity in their reportage.
Professor Abdullahi Usman who reiterated the commission’s commitment to ensuring timely airlift of pilgrims, revealed that over thirty thousand pilgrims have so far been airlifted from twelve states.
While recognising the critical role of media, the NAHCON Chairman appealed to the National Media Team to portray Islam and the Commission positively during the Hajj exercise.
Professor Abdullahi advised the team members to see their nominations as the will of Allah and partner with NAHCON in achieving a seamless Hajj exercise.
Our Correspondent Mubarak Mahmood who is a member of the team reports that paper on Ethics of Journalism from an Islamic Perspective was presented by an Islamic Preacher Abu Jabir Muhammad popularly known as Pen Abu.
