The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede says the Nigerian Army has adopted a robust strategy to end adversaries across all theatres of operation.
The Chief of Army Staff stated this at the opening ceremony of the Chief of Army Staff first biannual conference 2025 holding at the Command Guest house Maiduguri.
Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede said the objective of the Conference is to identify areas for improvement and develop practical solutions that will strengthen their effectiveness in safeguarding the nation”s peace and security.
He explained that the conference will deliver strategic foresight, operational alignment and an insight to where Military and Community engagements converge, emphasising the need for intelligent gathering and sharing.
The Chief of Army Staff noted that the Nigerian Army will commit towards aligning both its kinetic and non kinetic operations with the dynamic nature of the operating environment.
He however noted that the Army must not allow the recent setbacks faced to dampen their spirit or diminish their collective resolve to wipe out the terrorists, as they have adopted new strategies to shape battle space in their favour, which resulted at paying supreme sacrifice of Personnel while on their legitimate duty.
Lieutenant General Oluyede added that inter agency cooperation will be continued for the best possible results via collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, the Nigerian Air Force, other Security agencies and institutions at the federal and State government levels, which have aided the Army in fulfilling their mandate.
The Chief of Army Staff noted that the Nigerian Army has been encouraged by the commitment and support of the political leadership and extended their appreciation to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strategic guidance and support which have continued to ensure their successes in various operations.
Lieutenant General Oluyede also unveiled Vanquish Tanker that will facilitate their victory in the ongoing Counter Insurgency and Terrorism Operations in the Northeast.
