In a major development to enhance the experience of Nigerian pilgrims, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has officially taken over the management of the newly upgraded Masha’er Tent facilities from Mashariq Al-Dhabiyya.
The handover, conducted in collaboration with all State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards, marks a turning point in the delivery of quality services for Nigerian pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj.
Among the key improvements are the installation of modern cooling systems, the deployment of large shading umbrellas, seven extra tents as reserved backups for emergency use, ensuring better comfort and preparedness throughout the Hajj.
Describing the development as a “win-win” partnership, stakeholders expressed confidence that the move will offer a more seamless and dignified Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
Representing NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, the Makkah Deputy Coordinator Mr. Alidu Shutti praised the upgrades and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to continuous improvement.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by State Executives, committee heads, the ICT team and Saudi Liaison Officer Ustaz Abubakar Lamin all expressing full satisfaction with the arrangements.
