By Mubarak Mahmood

Members of Ulama team of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON have urged Nigerian pilgrims to pray for their leaders instead of cursing them.

Speaking to journalists in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, in preparation for the commencement of the Hajj exercise, the Chief Imam of Area 10 Mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Garba Al-Yolawi, said Nigeria is faced with challenges of insecurity, economy, and moral decline, hence the need for them to ask Allah to guide the nation’s leaders to the right path.

Also speaking, the Grand Mufti of Ogun State and member of the Ulama team, Rafee Al-Ijebuwi encouraged pilgrims to follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad who prayed for Mecca, even in difficult times.

Rafee Al-Ijebuwi called on Nigerians to pray earnestly for leaders at all levels and for the peace and progress of the country.
