The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON is stepping up preparations as the critical Masha’er days of the 2025 Hajj approach.
In a virtual meeting held with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj NAHCON Chairman Professor Usman Abdullahi Saleh and other senior officials discussed key safety and logistical measures for Nigerian pilgrims.
One major the directive said the pilgrims must stay indoors between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to extreme heat, with temperatures expected to exceed 50 degrees Celsius.
Another directives said all transportation from Arafat to Muzdalifah must be by official buses only and sacrificial rites including Udhiya and Hadya are to be done strictly through approved channels.
It also said Pilgrims are advised not to allow strangers into their tents and to report any unfamiliar faces immediately.
It added that the stoning ritual or Ramy, must be done only at the scheduled times.
NAHCON says it remains fully committed to the safety and smooth experience of all Nigerian pilgrims throughout the Masha’er.
