Saudi Arabia Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has hosted the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah, bringing together over 500 participants from 57 countries.
The theme of the event “Capability in Hajj and Contemporary Developments” focused on modern challenges facing pilgrims and how Islamic jurisprudence adapts to contemporary realities.
Among the high profile attendees was Chairman of Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission NAHCON Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman joined key discussions with Saudi officials and other Hajj mission leaders, alongside top NAHCON representatives.
Saudi Hajj Minister Dr. Taufiq Al-Rabi’ah reaffirmed the Kingdom’s readiness for the 2025 Hajj season, stressing the importance of safety, awareness and spiritual fulfillment.
Correspondent Mubarak Mahmood reports that workshops on healthcare services and media awareness were also held, aiming to improve pilgrim welfare and communication during the pilgrimage.
