The Federal Government through the Federal Character Commission has presented appointment letters to some qualified indigene of Yobe State, The Federal Commissioner representing the state at the federal character commission Hon. Alhaji Jibrin Maigari, said the appointments were In line with the core principles of fairness and equity in the distribution of public posts and socioeconomic infrastructures across the country.
Presenting the appointment letters to the beneficiaries, Maigari reaffirmed his resolve to continue advocating for equitable representation of Yobe State across all sectors, urging the new appointees to be diligent and patriotic in their service to the nation.
The commissioner called on parents and teachers to encourage and ensure children study science or health related courses in tertiary institutions to ease the burden of unemployment and also have an easy access to employment opportunities.
The initiative reflects the Commissioner’s commitment to ensuring that eligible citizens from Yobe State are adequately represented and fairly treated in the allocation of federal opportunities.
According to him, more efforts are geared toward bridging employment gaps and promoting inclusion in line with the Federal government’s Commitment to youth empowerment, socioeconomic development, and reduction of poverty among citizens.
In their separate remarks, the chairman Yobe State traders association of Nigeria, Alh. Muhammed Muktar Kime and Chairman Potiskum LGA Alh Salisu Muntari thanked Governor Mai Mala Buni for appointing the right person, who has been working without discrimination While commending the Governor for fulfilling his campaign promises, the dignitaries called on the people of the state to pray for the peaceful coexistence of the state and the country at large Expressing their joy, the beneficiaries of the appointments called on politicians in the country to engage youths usefully.
The highly significant event which took place at the premises of Federal College of Education (Technical), Potiskum, was attended by dignitaries, stakeholders, and beneficiaries, amongst others.
