The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has once again reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare and comfort of Nigerian pilgrims performing this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking during the pre-Arafah stakeholders meeting held in Makkah, the Chairman of the Commission, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, said NAHCON remains fully dedicated to fulfilling every aspect of its mandate with diligence and sincerity.

Professor Usman noted that the board, management, and staff of the Commission understand the heavy responsibility placed on them, as thousands of Nigerian Muslims invest significantly to fulfill one of Islam’s key obligations.

He commended the dedication of all staff and stakeholders who, in his words, have sacrificed their own comfort to ensure smooth Hajj operations.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner of Operations, Prince Anofiu Elegushi, stressed the need for unity, sacrifice, and commitment to dignify the experience of Nigerian pilgrims.

He also praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for their efforts in ensuring a smooth and secure pilgrimage for Muslims around the world.

The pre-Arafah meeting gathered key players in the Hajj operations to assess progress and coordinate strategies ahead of the Arafah rites.
