The Member representing Bauchi Federal Constituency, at the House of Representatives, Aliyu Aminu Garu, has distrusted cows and rams as well as cash worth 25 million naira to his constituents to celebrate the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony in Bauchi, Aliyu Aminu Garu noted that the gesture is aimed at ensuring that his constituents, particularly the less privileged, celebrate the Sallah with ease.
Represented by his Finance Director, Ibrahim Baba Tela, the Lawmaker explained that the distribution was part of his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, especially during festivities.
He called on the Muslims to use the period to extend hands of fellowship to others to cement the existing unity and love among them as well as pray for peace and development of Bauchi State and the country in general.
Also speaking, the Bauchi Local Government PDP Chairman, Alhaji Inuwa Aliyu Durbin Inkil, and the Chairman Bauchi South Zone of the party, Danlami Garba Abubakar, expressed gratitude for the timely support, describing the intervention as a lifeline for many families ahead of the Sallah celebration.
Radio Nigeria observed that the beneficiaries include party and community leaders, youth and women groups, religious institutions as well as the vulnerable households among others.
